On this day the 19th of November, back in 1893, the presentation of information became more colorful in New York City. It was on this day 125 years ago that the Sunday New York World published its first color supplement.

The New York World was published from 1860 to 1931. It played a major role in the history of American newspapers. It was under the editorship of Joseph Pulitzer, who led it from 1883 to 1911, that the publication saw this new color development.
